I'm traditionally anti-favorite, but I can't help it this time. The color... The blackberries... The lil bugs 🥰 (the lil heart on the back of the bee). The wheat and sunflowers are 100% freehanded. The blackberries, bugs and leaves were stenciled but then I freehanded the rendering on them, so the color across the whole piece is of my own eye. I'm feeling good about it. We did the grayscale first and then tattooed color over it, which is one of my preferred ways of tattooing. The tattoo represents her grandmother's garden, and the geometry is a traditional textile. I've always wanted to tattoo a sunflower with an eye! This one is a tad different than my usual style with slightly more emphasis on dark thin lines. But I'm very happy with the overall oomph and silhouette of it. I think we will be adding color too
