(Thanks y'all) Which totaled to 187 votes (because some people voted multiple times) I noticed the competition became a bit of a popularity contest, which honestly is my bad and makes sense because of the post sharing capabilities. Self-promotion is valid. I still must honor the rules of the game. But maybe next time that I host a competition, I will seek another way to reward y'all rather than voting to keep things more fair. The photos are all still lovely nonetheless. As a reminder, 1st place earned $1000 tattoo time 2nd place earned $400 tattoo time 3rd place earned $200 tattoo time (keep an eye out for next year's attempt to garner healed photos) Every participant did get emailed a 10% discount on their next tattoo, and I will continue to run that promo until the end of the year to get more healed photos in. I'm traditionally anti-favorite, but I can't help it this time. The color... The blackberries... The lil bugs 🥰 (the lil heart on the back of the bee). The wheat and sunflowers are 100% freehanded. The blackberries, bugs and leaves were stenciled but then I freehanded the rendering on them, so the color across the whole piece is of my own eye. I'm feeling good about it. We did the grayscale first and then tattooed color over it, which is one of my preferred ways of tattooing. The tattoo represents her grandmother's garden, and the geometry is a traditional textile.
